| Notes:
Bob was a very good friend of Pam and
mine. He was very dedicated to making working knives and not too worried
about everything being perfect. If the knife could not be used he did not
have much use for it. This is his first or one of his first split back
whittlers he made. There is more information now on how to do this then
there was back in 2004.
The blades work easy and it will not
break your nails. The fit is excellent and the finish, as in most of Bob's
knives is ok as it is meant to be carried. It has file work on the back
spring and is 7/16's at the widest part. The pins are domed over which is
unusual and all the blades are polished. There is a reflection in the
picture of the back. It is not a Shadley knife but Bob was a pioneer in the
knife field and is one of the longest working knifemakers up until his death
a few years ago. |
