Bret Dowell

I meet Bret at the "Sprit of Steel Show" in Dallas. He is a new maker and has done some local gun shows and plans to start attending some knife shows as his day job allows. This is were many of you will envy this guy. He is a government tracker and gets paid to hunt. Dream job for many!!! Bret has sold knives to many hunters so his knives are field tested. John Young had me look at his knives and I liked him and his knives. I feel he has the potential to be very good but only time will tell. Both John I went over a number of things with Bret so will be interesting to see the next batch of knives. This group is very well priced as we want to move them and keep him working and improving. So this is a good opportunity for some very reasonably priced knives form a young man I feel will do well. I sold one to one of our employees before I even got them photographed! I am sure with the changes we covered with Bret the next batch will cost more as he needs to do some soldering but he is all ready doing nice clean work. Also all his sheaths are made by Parsons. Hopefully he will learn leather work also!
