Employment

Bark river knives is a small company based in Michigan that makes fixed blade knives out of various tool steels with natural and man made handle materials. Made for use but they are also widely collectable with a loyal following. Very limited runs of each handle style so if you see it you want to grab it as you will have to settle for another style if you miss it. Also like Strider Knives they do not make everything all the time and some patterns are only made once a year. And yes some are one time only. All that we currently have are first production runs.

Care of your Bark River Knives

A-2 is one of the best steels ever made and will sharpen to a keen edge and hold it very well. As it is a tool steel it will rust and tarnish so it must be cared for and not stored in the sheath except when in use. Usually a coat of rust inhibiting oil coated on the blade is a good idea or a Sentry "Tough Cloth" if you wish to keep it dry. They will last a life time and be a joy to use in the field!
